Subject: Employee Tuition Waiver

Date Adopted: January 1, 1991, Revised November 15, 2000

Employees of the College and certain other specified individuals, are granted, by the Board of Trustees, free tuition in academic courses, according to the following schedule:

1. Full-time employees paid from regular help positions as described in our Appropriation Act, and/or members of their immediate families, are eligible for full tuition and fee waivers.*

2. Permanent employees who work less than full time paid from regular help positions as described in our Appropriation Act, and/or members of their immediate families, are eligible for pro rata tuition and fee waivers.*

3. Hourly employees who are paid from extra help positions as described in our Appropriations Act are not eligible for tuition and fee waivers.

4. Active part-time faculty under current contract, and/or members of their immediate families, are eligible for tuition and fee waivers*, associated with one course.

Immediate family is defined as:

"The employee, that employee's current spouse, dependent children, and other family members who are dependent on the employee for at least 51% of their support."

All requests for faculty/staff waivers are to be made in writing addressed to the Financial Aid Department and must include the name, social security number, and relationship of the individual for whom the request is made.

*Registration fee will not be waived.
