The local economy centers on tourism, manufacturing, retirement living, and medical sciences. Tourism attractions include the thermal waters of the National Park, hiking trails, horse racing at Oaklawn Park, five nearby lakes, outstanding golf courses, and a thriving art community. The fourth largest community college in the state, NPCC enrolls approximately 3,000 credit students each semester in both associate degree and certificate programs.

Project Manager

National Park Community College is currently seeking a Project Manager for the implementation of the Oracle PeopleSoft ERP. This is a full-time, 12 month position in the Computer Services Department that reports directly to the Director of Computer Services. Starting salary is dependent on qualifications but will likely be in the mid $50,000 range with outstanding benefits.

Minimum requirements for the position include the formal educational equivalent of a bachelor's degree with a major in information technology or computer science or related areas but extensive experience in lieu of educational requirements may be considered.  Two years of pertinent experience is also required. Knowledge of PeopleSoft management information system with project leadership role experience is preferred.

Preference will be given to those candidates with a minimum of two years experience working with a project support team involved with MIS systems analysis, application troubleshooting, relational database knowledge, writing SQL, creation of test procedures and working with functional users to complete testing of code. In addition, preferred candidates will have experience with the PeopleSoft Internet Architecture, People Tools, SQR, PeopleSoft Query, and People Code programs. Job duties include coordinating and performing work on complex and non-routine projects to analyze campus requirements and address PeopleSoft system issues. This may include responsibilities such as performing system set ups and configurations, system analysis and logical design activities, identifying ERP application and integrated technology opportunities and solutions as well as the development of security and application access needs analysis, definitions, and policies.  The successful candidate would also coordinate and participate in the planning, development, and implementation of the People Soft ERP system including documentation, research, pilot testing, and training.

Secretary II

National Park Community College is currently seeking a Secretary II. This is a full-time position providing support in Community and Corporate Training. This full-time position is classified under the State of Arkansas classification system as Grade 13 with an entry-level annual salary of $19,667 and excellent benefits.

Applicants must have a strong office support background; enjoy working with people and being part of a team; possess excellent communication, organizational, customer service, and critical-thinking skills; have proficiency in the use of computer applications, such as Word and Excel; have knowledge and use of standard office equipment, correct grammar, punctuation, and spelling. Minimum qualifications include the formal education equivalent of a high school diploma; two years of specialized training in secretarial science, or related field; and two years of secretarial experience. Working knowledge of databases, basic graphic design, and website design preferred.
